When: Every Wednesday 12.30pm and 4.30pm and Every Monday 6.30pm
Monique will taylor the walks to suit you. If you want to walk one to one, if you are having problems getting out of your home, or if you just want to join a social group. This may evolve into a weekly walking group or just help you do a few walks.
Walking groups provide a wide range of both physical and mental health perks-for people of all ages. Outdoor walking groups have been shown to result in significant improvements in blood pressure, resting heart rate, body fat, BMI percentages, and lung function. Social walkers are also significantly less depressed – which makes sense considering all we know about the mental health benefits of exercise. Plus, past studies show that slowing your roll may actually be healthier for you than running.
And, hey, even if you already get your daily dose of exercise from your normal high-intensity routine, there’s something to be said for group support, which has been shown to help you stick to your weight-loss and fitness goals, while providing a therapeutic element.
Group walking is allowed from 29th March and we will fallow COVID guidelines.
